Do I qualify for Medical Marijuana in Texas? 

Each state has its own unique laws governing the use of medical marijuana. 

Below you will find a list of qualifying conditions the state of Texas considers treatable with low-THC cannabis. In the past, the Compassionate-Use Program only applied to patients with a specific type of epilepsy. However, law HB 3703 went into effect on June 14, 2019 and expanded the Compassionate-Use Program. The new legislation allows qualified physicians to recommend a marijuana card for low-THC marijuana for patients diagnosed with the following conditions:

  • Autism
  • Cancer (Terminal)
  • Epilepsy
  • Incurable Neurodegenerative Diseases
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Seizure Disorder
  • Spasticity
